HERE'S HOW TO INSTALL A DIFFERENT LANGUAGE SPELLCHECKER DIRECTORY IN COURIER

Download your chosen language to \windows\system32 directory (\system directory for Win 9x or Windows Millenium Edition).

Open COURIER and click on mailbox -> properties and then the spellchecker tab.  Select the dictionary you wish to use from the drop down box.

Using Windows Explorer, rename American.vtd.

If your system is Windows 95, Windows 98 or Windows Millenium Edition, this file is in your Windows system directory (C:\Windows\System).

If your system is Windows NT or XP, this file is in your Windows system32 directory (C:\Winnt\System32).

From OUISoft's Web site (www.ouisoft.com), download the desired dictionary. Languages currently available, in addition to American English are British English, Czech, Dutch, French, German and Italian. Note that these downloads are zipped files, and must be decompressed using a program such as winzip.

Copy the downloaded file (after unzipping it) to the Windows system or system32 directory.

Rename the dowloaded file "American.vtd".

Note: Keep a copy of the downloaded dictionary saved somewhere on your system. Each time you install or upgrade Calypso, American.vtd will be overwritten with the American English version.
